Announcing FCU Support for Rithum Stat

Rithum are excited to announce a significant update to Rithum Stat: support for Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and integration with Shelly H&T sensors. This update enhances the versatility and functionality of Rithum Stat, making it more adaptable to various cooling systems and environments.

FCU Support

Rithum Stat now supports Fan Coil Units (FCUs), which are commonly used in various air conditioning systems. With this update, Rithum Stat can control FCUs via relays, allowing for seamless integration and operation similar to a heating zone.

  • Mode Settings: Users can select from Low, Medium, and High modes. When cooling is required, Rithum Stat will automatically close the relevant relay to achieve the desired cooling level.
  • Relay Integration: Just like a Rithum Stat heating zone, the FCU support can utilise any relay in any of our integrations, providing flexibility and ease of use.

Control4 Integration Upgrade

We have also upgraded the Control4 integration to support FCU control. This enhancement includes support for Control4’s scheduler, similar to the existing support for heating zones. This ensures that users can efficiently manage their cooling schedules through Control4 systems.

External Temperature Sensor Support

In addition to FCU support, Rithum Stat now supports the use of Shelly H&T sensors as external temperature sensors. This feature is enabled through Shelly’s BTHome protocol, allowing Rithum Stat to read the current temperature from the sensor’s advertisement.

  • Easy Pairing: Users can pair the Shelly H&T sensor by pressing the button on the sensor during the pairing window.
  • Flexible Temperature Sensing: Users can choose between using the built-in sensor, the external sensor, or an average of both for temperature readings.

Updated Settings

With these new features, we’ve also updated the settings interface to include:

  • Temperature Sensing Options: Choose between internal, external, or average temperature modes.
  • Cooling Zone Settings: Enable or disable cooling zones, and configure actions for Cool On, and Low, Medium, & High modes.

We believe these updates will greatly enhance the functionality of Rithum Stat, making it a more powerful tool for managing your environment’s climate. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to improve and expand the capabilities of our products.
