Extended Standby & Temperature Calibration

We’re excited to announce two new updates to the Rithum Stat that give you more flexibility and control over your environment!

Extended Standby Timeout Settings

By popular request, we’ve introduced extended standby timeout options, giving you greater control over how long the screen remains active before dimming or going into standby. Whether you’re configuring for a busier space or simply want your interface awake longer, these new options make the Stat even more adaptable to your needs.

However, it’s important to note that with longer screen-on times, the device may retain more heat, which can lead to inaccuracies in the temperature reading, so we don’t guarantee accuracy above a 1 minute standby timeout (and that’s the reason we held off this enhancement, but there are customers who have said they are not using the temperature sensor, so this one’s for you).

Temperature Sensor Calibration

To help mitigate any impact and improve overall accuracy, we’re introducing manual calibration for the temperature sensor. Simply enter a temperature reading from another trusted sensor, and Rithum Stat will be calibrated to that level, giving you even more precision in your climate control.

This update also supports our ongoing improvements to Rithum Stat, including recent additions like cooling support and external sensor compatibility (which you can read about HERE), ensuring it continues to evolve as a powerful, all-in-one smart climate solution.

These changes will be included in an upcoming software update. We recommend calibrating your Rithum Stat after updating, regardless of whether you are using the extended standby features or not.
